Therapist Details

I'm a psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience and I practice a humanistic group therapeutic approach called Social Therapy. I've served as medical director of several mental health centers and have trained and supervised numerous therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists. I'm an unusual psychiatrist because I believe the traditional medical model approach in psychiatry and therapy can be a serious obstacle to people's growth and development. Rather than relying on diagnosis, I work to help people grow from their pain so that they can live fuller, more social and happier lives.

We live in a culture that leaves many people feeling alone, overwhelmed, depressed and stuck. I and the staff of the Social Therapy Group work with people from all backgrounds and walks of life in our therapy groups. Together we build ways to navigate painful life circumstances and grow in the process.
