In 1984 I got really lucky: My interests in holistic health and the 12 steps converged. Ever since, I’ve been sharing my passion for blending addiction recovery with holistic and experiential approaches to health and wellness.
As a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, it is exciting to share with you a unique approach that combines respect for self-help programs and clinical interventions that build on your foundation in recovery. My office is a “living laboratory” where you can practice the changes you want to make and shape a future that is different from your past.
Over the years, I've worked in a variety of substance abuse settings, from women's residential treatment to medical hospitals, outpatient programs and now in private practice. I also really enjoy transmitting what I’ve learned to the terrific people who want to enter the addiction treatment profession, so I am a teacher in the chemical dependency certificate programs of Diablo Valley College and California State University-East Bay.
In addition, I enjoy spreading the word about the work of Stillpoint Center in Lafayette, where practitioners from different disciplines integrate conventional and empirical approaches to all kinds of concerns. We're here to support your health, your sense of well-being & the experience of renewal in your life.
